  • Consult your manufacturer care guide on how to treat spills and stains

Wooden furniture requires regular dusting, cleaning and  sometimes waxing/oiling so as to keep its sheen and to prevent damage to the furniture.

Dusting is a must to keep your furniture clean and free from dust. Dusting wooden furniture once daily or at least 2-3 times a week is a good idea. You could use a cloth, feather duster or a brush to keep the dirt away.

Never use all-purpose cleaning sprays unless your furniture has a plastic coating. Commercial cleaners contain powerful ingredients that can help clean your wooden furniture and leave it with a clean sheen, always check which commercial products are safe to use with the type of wood the furniture is made from.

Wooden furniture is also affected by humidity. Wood expands and contracts as the moisture in the air changes. The ideal range for relative humidity is between 45 and 55 percent. If a dramatic change occurs, it is possible that furniture may experience shrinkage damage and warping.

Marble is a soft stone, susceptible to all sorts of accidental damage and daily wear and tear. Marble surfaces should be wiped down daily with a warm, damp cloth to prevent any spillages from causing permanent staining or discolouration to the marble. Moist substances accidentally spilled or sprayed onto the marble should be wiped down immediately even if it is just a bit of water.

Glasses, cups and mugs can leave unpleasant rings on a marble surface, so coasters are recommended.

Glass furniture is perfect for brightening up any area of your home from bedrooms, living rooms to the dining rooms there is something beautiful about the transparency of glass yet robust enough for everyday use.

To keep your glass furniture looking its best you are going to want to ensure it stays free from dirt and dust, gently wiping the surface with a soft microfibre cloth. Instead of spraying any glass cleaner onto the furniture itself, spray the cloth.

We advise cleaning it once a week or fortnight. This will greatly depend upon usage and for what purpose.

As always use mats, coasters and felt pads to prevent your furniture from getting scratched.
